BATAK CENTER FOR EUROPEAN STUDIES -- Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday helped carry a coffin and talked to grieving relatives as he attended funerals for some of those killed during an attempted military coup.
The quashed coup, which started with tanks rolling onto the streets of Ankara and Istanbul on Friday night as the president was on a seaside vacation, claimed at least 265 lives, according to officials.
